Get ready for a hoof-stomping good time with the Adopt-A-Cow program at the Stockyard Ag Experience! This adventure invites youth ages 7-11 to embark on a fun-filled journey into the world of beef production in South Dakota. From creating their own cattle brand and learning about unique cattle traits to discovering the ins and outs of caring for livestock, participants will dive into hands-on activities that bring the beef industry to life. They’ll explore the crucial role cattle play in the South Dakota economy, tracing the journey of beef from farm to grocery store, and uncover the surprising array of byproducts these animals provide. The grand finale offers an unforgettable meet-and-greet with a real beef cow at the museum, rounding off this educational escapade. With sessions taking place on Saturday mornings at 10 AM, this program promises to enlighten and entertain, ensuring young minds leave with a newfound appreciation for our bovine friends. Don’t miss out on this chance to get up close and personal with the world of beef!
